学前教育质量评估与追踪、儿童发展测量工具研发与评估、学前教育政策评估与优化研究。在加盟上海师范大学之前长期在美国从事学前教育政策研究，对欠发达地区如西佛吉尼亚州、和发达地区如新泽西州的学前教育质量大型调查追踪评价研究，参与撰写多项美国州、联邦政府学前教育政策咨政报告、对大规模调查研究、数据收集、分析、建模有丰富的理论和实践经验。

参与美国研究项目PHLpreK Classroom Evaluations, City of Philadelphia；Modifying and Validating the Developmental Measure of the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education, Inter-American Development Bank；Landscape Analysis of Indiana’s early learning programs, Early Learning Indiana；Creative Curriculum’s Ecosystem Evaluation, Teaching Strategies, LLC。

论文成果包括：“Thriving Beyond Resilience Despite Stress: A Psychometric Evaluation of the Teacher Stress Scale and the Teacher Thriving Scale.”、“Evidence of support for dual language learners in a study of bilingual staffing patterns using the Classroom Assessment of Supports for Emergent Bilingual Acquisition (CASEBA).”、 “The Response and reflection of US public early childhood education in COVID period: A case study of IP school in New Brunswick of New Jersey”等。
